Olathea and Lincoln

October 15, 2012 update:

The kids made their show debut Labor Day Weekend at the Amana Colonies, IA show.

Lincoln picked up a best cardigan puppy and then went on to a puppy group 2. Thanks to Judge Ruth Tessendorf.

The next day, Lincoln went on to pick up a Best of Winners for a 4 pt major under Judge Alice Inman.  It was a wonderful way to end the weekend.  Thanks to Judge Inman, Connie Whan, Kerri Carter, Missy and Chas Brees DeYoung, Rus and Sherilyn Mumme and, of course, Kathy Gibson and  for making it  possible for Lincoln and I to have too much fun.

July 23rd update:

Lincoln is finishing up his intermediate obedience class at a local PetsMart.  He will move on to advanced in a couple of weeks.  He truly enjoys working obedience, body awareness exercises, and trick training.  Here are a couple of stacked pictures of Linc.  Pictures are such a good tool for me to figure out what I need to do differently.  In these pics he isn’t pulled forward enough, but this I can fix tomorrow!

My photographer forgot his feet…we will fix that next time too!

Olathea will begin advanced obedience at a local pet store.  She has successfully met all the requirements for puppy and intermediate.  She enjoys heeling and doing tricks, but will also do extended sit and down stays.  We (Lincoln, Olathea and I)  continue to work through a Susan Garrett, Say Yes to Contact Success class, albiet slowly!  Thank goodness for a years access to the class.  Here are a couple of stacked pics of Olathea, we didn’t have much success catching her still.  Just when I thought we had it, she would move a foot, a head…  hmmmm…me thinks the girl is much like her mother!  Oh well, it’s about having fun first, and I am having a great time!

Love the tongue action!

Olathea and  Lincoln, Here for the Defense are staying  at Riverbend.  We have already begun obedience and conformation training.  Watch our blog at www.cardicorgicapers.wordpress.com for the successes and notable failures of this process!

All the other puppies have moved on to their forever homes.

The sire is CH Pluperfect Merrymoon Davenitch Praise Thee Well.  He is out of Pluperfect Merrymoon Praise and CH Cerridwen Davenitch I Believe in Him. You can find a picture of Miro as a puppy at  http://davenitchcardigans.webs.com/neweststars.htm  He finished his CH in 2 weekends, all majors!  He also has a group placing!

Ella is out of CH Pecan Valley Avalanche and CH Davenitch Echoing Angels. (See Ella’s page for her road to CH.)
